My name is Ron Derksen, I’m 34 years old and I live in Utrecht, The Netherlands. I work for a company called bol.com, which is the largest online media shop in the Netherlands. We sell books (digital and non-digital), cds, dvds, electronics, games, software and toys. My job title is interface developer, which boils down to developing clientside code (HTML, CSS and Javascript) and my main focus is the use of javascript on the site to enhance the customer experience. This weblog is also meant as a channel to write about the things I work on and any experiments I do in that area.

In my spare time I enjoy riding my motorbike, a 2003 Suzuki GSX750F, and playing games on my Xbox 360 and PC. I also watch a lot of tv shows and movies.
